Bristol Rape Crisis Centre
Bristol Rape Crisis helpline is provided by Volunteer Support Workers. Rape Crisis specially train all volunteers and provide ongoing support and training. Abortion Support Network
The Abortion Support Network is calling for volunteers and hosts in Bristol who could provide a meal and a safe place to sleep for Irish women forced to travel to England for abortions. In Northern Ireland women do not have access to NHS abortion services and abortion has always been illegal in the Republic of Ireland. Women and girls must find £400- £1500 to pay for the procedure, travel and lodgings. More details.

One25
One25 has 130 fantastic volunteers providing support to effectively run drop-in sessions, outreach, casework support team, Naomi House and office work. They visit the women in hospital and prison and write to them there. They help at outings and events and even just take the women out for coffee and cake! All volunteers receive a package of support including training opportunities and supervision. It would take up too much time to run individual induction meetings with each potential volunteer, so instead One25 holds two big introductory evenings a year. If you would like to come to the next introductory evening or would like more information on volunteering, please contact the office with your contact details and area of interest for volunteering.
