Accessible Venues wanted!
Over the years BFN has put on over 100 events in Bristol, all organised by volunteers and on a shoestring. BFN does not have any funding, staff or premises and is an informal community group, which makes putting on 100+ events an amazing achievement, and we are grateful to the organisations in Bristol who have kindly let us use their premises for free.
Recently we have been asked to only use venues which are accessible. Although this is a standard we have tried to achieve for years, we have not been able to find a fully accessible venue which is affordable, despite approaching several venues and seeking advice.
It is with regret that we must suspend BFN meetings until a free accessible venue can be found.
We have followed up BCC recommended accessible venues, but none of them are affordable to us. BFN volunteer resources are limited and we need help to resolve this problem.
If you know of accessible venues which are free or affordable, please contact us.
If you are able to make a donation to cover the costs of an accessible venue, please contact us, we would be very grateful for your help.
